Doctor Strange Was Almost In Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse

Doctor Strange Was Almost In Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse originally included a cameo by none other than Doctor Strange. The animated Spider-Man movie is set to arrive in theaters this weekend and the buzz , thus far, has been extremely positive. It should, at the very least, be enough to tide Marvel fans over until Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home arrive next year. While this is mostly a Spidey standalone (featuring several different versions of the character), it turns out, the universe was originally going to expand.

Phil Lord and Chris Miller, the duo behind The Lego Movie, are on board as producers on Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Lord helped pen the screenplay alongside Rodney Rothman and, like most major projects in Hollywood, it went through several revisions before reaching its final form. As Lord reveals, the initial draft ended with the Sorcerer Supreme making an appearance. Here's what he had to say about it.

Another Villain Rumored For Spider-Man: Far From Home

For much of this year, we’ve been hearing rumors of various new villains entering the fray in next year’s Spider-Man: Far From Home, and in light Tom Holland and Jake Gyllenhaal’s recent claims that Peter Parker and Quentin Beck will be teaming up to fight Elementals across Europe, there may even be something to these reports.

Adding to the previous hearsay of Hydro-Man and Chameleon both making appearances in the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel, McU Cosmic has relayed word that Mark Raxton, aka Molten Man, will be getting in on the action, too. Though this is another suggestion that made the rounds a few months ago, apparently there’s some fresh evidence for the rumor in the form of a Molten Man figure that’s being including in a Far From Home toy line.

Leaker Jeremy Conrad stresses that this isn’t conclusive proof that the character is in the film,

Sony Debuts First Men In Black International Footage At Ccxp

Proving Spider-Man: Far From Home wasn’t the only geek-friendly movie on display at Ccxp this past weekend, Sony Pictures also rolled out the first reel of footage from Men in Black International, the upcoming sci-fi reboot featuring Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson.

The McU double act, who last shared the screen for Thor: Ragnarok, have spent the past few weeks updating their respective social media accounts with all sorts of zany photos and set videos, but Saturday marked the big one: the first public showcase of Men in Black International, one which drew praise from Steven Weintraub of Collider.

Alas, Sony is yet to release any such footage online, so for now, we’ll have to make do with a knee-jerk reaction. And while it doesn’t reveal an awful lot, Weintraub does at least confirm that the Mibi teaser trailer opens with a voiceover from the inimitable Liam Neeson.

Jake Gyllenhaal Says Tom Holland’s The Best Spider-Man

Sorry, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. You may have your fans, but according to Spider-Man: Far From Home star Jake Gyllenhaal, Peter Parker’s latest incarnation has you both beat.

Gyllenhaal was in attendance at Brazil’s Comic Con Experience over the weekend, where the actor reportedly heaped praise on Tom Holland for his work as the famed wall-crawler:

“Tom Holland is the best Spider-Man. There’s no one more professional than him.”

It’s funny to see a word like “professional” applied to an actor known for accidentally dropping Marvel spoilers, but after filming scenes with the star across Europe, you have to imagine that Gyllenhaal knows what he’s talking about.

Spider-Man: Far from Home Synopsis Reveals Mysterious Disaster-Causing Creatures

Spider-Man: Far from Home Synopsis Reveals Mysterious Disaster-Causing Creatures
The Spider-Man: Far from Home synopsis has been revealed and it confirms that Peter Parker is working for Nick Fury. Over the weekend, lucky Brazil Comic-Con attendees were treated to the first trailer for the sequel, along with appearances by Tom Holland, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Jacob Batalon. The trailer has yet to be released online, but it is expected to drop before the end of the year, and comes after Marvel Studios blew minds by releasing the second trailer for Captain Marvel and the first trailer for Avengers: Endgame last week.

Now, we have a better idea of what's happening in Spider-Man: Far From Home, thanks to a recently released synopsis. Samuel L. Jackson confirmed his role in the sequel over the summer, but it was unclear how he fit into the overall story. In the trailer, Peter Parker makes the conscious decision to leave behind his Spider-Man suit before

Jeremy Renner Congratulates Marvel On Avengers: Endgame Trailer Success

You’ve seen it, haven’t you? The ominous first teaser trailer for Avengers: Endgame?

If, like us, you’ve pored over each and every frame, you’ve no doubt spotted the return of Jeremy Renner’s Clint Barton, better known to you, I and the founding members of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes as Hawkeye. But a lot has changed since Renner’s last McU appearance – for the record, that was Captain America: Civil War, in which the Marvel sharpshooter sided with Team Cap and effectively turned his back on the proposed Sokovia Accords.

Come 2019, Marvel fans will be introduced to a much darker Hawkeye, one which appears to be more in line with Ronin than anything else. It would certainly help explain the brief Yakuza sequence buried in Endgame‘s first trailer, while Jeremy Renner himself has now taken to Twitter in order to congratulate Marvel Studios for the record-shattering reveal.

Marvel Fans Not Happy About The Lack Of A Spider-Man: Far From Home Trailer

Fans are kicking up a fuss because they still haven’t seen the first trailer for a 2019 Marvel flick, and yes, this does all feel eerily familiar, doesn’t it?

The world has just witnessed one of the biggest weeks ever for McU promotion, starting off with the new Captain Marvel trailer last Monday, followed by the long-awaited Avengers: Endgame teaser on the Friday. But while fans were relieved to finally see some footage from the Avengers: Infinity War sequel, little did they know that fresh disappointment was just around the corner, as the news broke on Saturday that contrary to previous reports, the first Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer wouldn’t be making its way online that day.

Instead, the teaser for next year’s Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel was a treat reserved for the attendees of Brazil’s Comic Con Experience, and though the fans at Ccxp seem happy with what they saw,

First Spider-Man: Far From Home Synopsis Teases Peter’s Euro Adventure

Though Marvel Studios ultimately decided to keep the first Spider-Man: Far From Home teaser trailer within the walls of Ccxp this past weekend, the Internet is still abuzz with news about Peter Parker’s next big-screen adventure. And it seems our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is headed to Europe, where he must “agree to help Nick Fury,” or risk seeding power to Hyrdo-Man and Mysterio.

Mind you, the latter may prove to be an unlikely ally for the Web-Head, given reports that Jake Gyllenhaal’s deranged intellect actually joined forces with Spider-Man during the first Far From Home trailer. The jury’s still out on that one, of course, but over at SuperBroMovies, a very brief synopsis has emerged, which offers some clues as to what comes next for the youngest Avenger.

We should stress that this unofficial logline has been lifted from a Russian website and translated into English, so

Marvel Updates Official Avengers: Endgame Countdown Clock

Though we had to wait a little longer than most of us expected for the first Avengers: Endgame trailer, when the footage did arrive, it came with the announcement that the film itself will be coming sooner than was previously reported.

It’d long been speculated that Marvel Studios might move the pic’s North American release date one week earlier to match the schedule of the movie’s European roll-out, but it wasn’t until the teaser dropped that we got some official confirmation of the change. As a result, among the various updates to the Endgame page on the official Marvel website – including the addition of the film’s poster, trailer, and official title – is an adjustment to the feature’s countdown clock, which is now leading up to the flick’s April release.

First Official Far from Home Image Shows Spider-Man's Stealth Suit

First Official Far from Home Image Shows Spider-Man's Stealth Suit
The first image from Spider-Man: Far from Home features Peter Parker in the stealth suit. While some fans are still disappointed that the first trailer was not released online, we now have the first image from the movie, and it looks pretty awesome. The stealth suit was spotted many times in leaked set photos and earlier this week, fans were treated to an up close and personal look at the new suits on display at Brazil Comic-Con. However, this is our best look yet at the sleek black suit.

Spider-man's new stealth suit does not have full gloves, which is kind of weird, considering that Peter Parker will be leaving his fingerprints everywhere. That's not very stealth-like. That being said, the black costume looks pretty awesome up close and it will be interesting to see what kind of special abilities it has when the footage debuts online. As for when that will be,

Spider-Man: Far from Home Trailer Description Arrives from Ccpx, Teasing Mysterio

Spider-Man: Far from Home Trailer Description Arrives from Ccpx, Teasing Mysterio
The Spider-Man: Far from Home trailer was shown to the lucky Brazil Comic-Con attendees yesterday. It had been rumored all week that it was going to be a good time for Marvel Cinematic Universe fans, and it was with the release of the second Captain Marvel trailer and the first Avengers: Endgame trailer as well. It was also rumored that the Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer was going to premiere this weekend, and it did, but it has not been released online yet. Thankfully, some people in attendance have provided a description of what was in it.

The big takeaway from the first Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer is that it completely ignores Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, and Thanos altogether. Many were wondering how Sony and Marvel Studios were going to approach the marketing for the sequel since Peter Parker is still technically dust in the McU, and it looks

Tom Holland Catches Jake Gyllenhaal Practicing Spider-Man Moves by Himself: 'Just Drying My Hands'
Jake Gyllenhaal doesn’t have the titular role in the upcoming Spider-Man film, but that didn’t stop the actor from practicing his superhero moves when he thought nobody was watching.

An Instagram Story video shared by Tom Holland — who actually does play the masked crime crusader — shows the actor, 22, thanking his fans in Brazil on behalf of the entire cast for a “fantastic” Saturday at the Comic-Con there.

However, as he moved across the hotel room, he stumbled across Gyllenhaal, who will be playing villain Mysterio, pretending to shoot webs out of his hands in the bathroom mirror.

Spider-Man And Mysterio Will Be Brothers In Arms In Far From Home

While the viewing of the first Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer turned out to be a privilege reserved for the attendees of Brazil’s Ccxp, the info that the audience learned from this weekend’s event is something that fans everywhere can appreciate, including some surprising revelations on the character of Mysterio.

Though it’s long been assumed that Jake Gyllenhaal’s character would be Peter Parker’s next major antagonist, actor Tom Holland hinted that the dynamic between this pair won’t be so simple, describing their relationship as “brothers in arms” as the two of them work together to fight some Elementals.

For further details, Gyllenhaal was also on hand to offer his own, longer explanation, suggesting that this unlikely team-up was the making of one Nick Fury:

“There are these threats to the world. Elementals. Elemental creatures. And Mysterio is someone who knows about them, and wants

Tom Holland Explains Why The Spider-Man: Far From Home Trailer Wasn’t Released

Last Tuesday, it was reported that the first Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer would premiere on the following Saturday, and that’s exactly what happened. It’s just a shame that most of us didn’t get to see it.

Though the new footage from the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel still doesn’t have an official online release, the teaser did show at Brazil’s Comic Con Experience (Ccxp), where star Tom Holland appeared at a panel to explain that Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures wanted to screen this trailer as an exclusive treat for the event’s attendees.

“We debuted the new Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer just for you guys exclusively, because sometimes we just want to show our support, and you guys have been so amazing to us ever since I got this job.” Holland said. “And I guess we just wanted to come and say thank you really,

Nick Fury Will Hire Mysterio To Help Spider-Man In Far From Home

Most of the Marvel-related chatter at the moment is focused firmly on Captain Marvel and Avengers 4, and that’s perfectly understandable. I mean, not only are they the next two films to release from the House of Ideas, but both of them debuted stunning new trailers this week, too. As Marvel fans will know, though, they’re not the only two movies coming from the studio in 2019, as there’s also one more.

Yes, Spider-Man: Far From Home will swing into theaters on July 5th and with production now complete, it shouldn’t be too much longer before we get our first official look at it. In fact, a still of Spidey in his stealth suit leaked onto the web earlier this afternoon while Sony also debuted the film’s trailer at Ccxp, though it’s yet to make its way online.

However, what has made its way online
